It’s 3/13 today and in celebration, a bunch of Detroit bloggers are celebrating 313 Day, the area code for Detroit. We’re spreading some Detroit love with blog posts dedicated to what we love about this fine city.
Even after several visits, I know I haven’t even scratched the surface. I did finally try late-night coney dogs at both Lafayette and American and feel pretty legit now. If you’re curious, we thought Lafayette won with a slight edge for better chili and a great snap to the hot dog.
There’s so much to see, do, and eat in Detroit. You could spend an entire weekend just looking at the beautiful architecture. I’ve rounded up my favorite posts about adventuring in Detroit and hopefully it will inspire you to visit soon.
5 Things Detroit – A post I did for Hither and Thither to spread Detroit Love to her readers.
Selden Standard – Detroit Free Press named it restaurant of the year and for good reason.
Eastern Market + Russell Street Deli – An early trip to one of the largest farmers markets and delicious breakfast at Russell Street Deli.

Detroit Institute of Arts – One of my favorite places to visit.
La Feria Spanish Tapas – Authentic Spanish tapas in midtown Detroit.

We drove past this art on the way back from our anniversary dinner last June. I love it.
